He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Hume and Helen Hume; his wife Ola Mae Hume; his sister Judy Dodson; his sons, Brien Hume and Victor Tanner; his granddaughters, Kylie and Laney Hume; his stepchildren, Gayle Coates, Dwayne Scott (Angie), Bridgette Scott, Greg Scott (Renee), Gene Scott Jr. (Kim), Melissa Webb (Gary) and Christina Hoffman; his nephew Jonathon; and his niece Megan. He was also cherished by fourteen step grandchildren and fourteen step great-grandchildren.
