He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ayres, and Frances Ayres, Sr.; and his sister Betty Ayres. He is survived by: his sons, John J. Ayres III and Kenneth L. Ayres; his grandchildren, Alaya Y. Ayres, Frances L. Ayres and Waylon L. Ayres; and his great grandchild Bryston Ayres.
