He was predeceased by: his parents, John W Yowell, Jr. and Katherine Moomaw Yowell; and his brother Lewis Cowherd Yowell. He is survived by: his brother William Moomaw Yowell (Julie); his nephews, Michael (Laurie), Eric (Teresa), Jeffrey Jorgensen (Mechelle) and Bryan Sprinkel (Megan); and his close friend Scott Fisher.
