He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Short and Isabella Short; and his siblings, Betsey Batt and Mickey Short. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Short; his daughters, Dawn Randall (Orhan), Janice Craigue and Rebecca White; his grandchildren, Holly Hatcher (Corey), Allison Abedrabo (Haytham), Amanda Green, Abby Green, TJ White and Jeremy Clark; and his great grandchildren, James Hatcher, Noah Hatcher, Hannah Abedrabo, Sarah Abedrabo, Layla Abedrabo, Jayden Jones, Mason Alexander and Jesai Tapscott.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Reva Fire Hall (18230 Birmingham Rd, Culpeper, VA 22701).
