She was predeceased by: her parents, Madie Hudson and Dewey Hudson; and her husband Fred B. Payne. She is survived by: her children, Wayne Payne, Susan Payne, Beverly Sturm, Sandra Brown, Patricia Payne and Francis Payne (Buck); and her sister Phyllis Yancey of Culpeper.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Heartland Hospice, 493 Blackwell Rd., Warrenton, VA 20186.
