It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Mae Ritenour of Culpeper, Virginia, born in Colonial Beach, Virginia, who passed away on December 19, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Johnson and Lena Johnson; her husband Joseph Herbert Ritenour, Sr.; and her children, Jody Ritenour and Joyce Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Ritenour (Debbie), Jerry Ritenour (Debbie), Jeannie Johnston (Kevin) and John Ritenour (Joyce); and her siblings, Doris Williams, John Johnson and Sheila Johnson. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations in her memory be made to Alzheimer's Association.
