He is survived by: his wife Sally Hobart Napier of Culpeper; his children, Angela Napier Rothwell (Stacy) of Richmond and Edward Scott Napier (Joyce) of Madison; his brother Kenneth A. Napier (Brenda) of Columbus, GA; his grandchildren, Andrew, Kelsey and Zachary Rothwell; his niece Pamela; and his nephew Christopher Napier.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation (for Parkinson's disease research) or Hospice of the Piedmont.
