Bruce Stanley Shumway Obituary

Bruce Stanley Shumway, 78, of Culpeper, VA died November 9, 2021 at Brookside in Warrenton. He was born on July 17, 1943 in Endicott, NY to the late Raymond Bruce and Carolyn Nellie Shumway. Bruce is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Blankenship Shumway; a son, David Shumway and his wife, Teri; six grandchildren, Michael Shumway, Chelsea Cupp, Amanda Jones, Bruce A. Shumway, Matthew Shumway, and David W. Shumway; and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Raymond Shumway and Jerry Shumway. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 12 pm at Found and Sons Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Pastor Ron Young officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery (old section), 305 US Ave. Culpeper. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory to VFW Post #2524, 12210 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 2270. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
