She was predeceased by: her father Woodrow Burke; her former husbands, John A. Lee Sr. and Lewis "Mack" Woodward; her husband Donald Elswick; her stepfather Willie Potter; her brothers, William Burke and Garnett Burke; and her stepchildren, Clint Woodward, Janet Leake and Curtis Woodward.
She is survived by: her son John Lee Jr. (Darlene); her stepchildren, Wayne Woodward (Sharon) and Wanda Elswick Burnett; her brother Woodrow Burke Jr. (Juanita); her half-brother Charles Hoffman (Catherine); her stepgrandchildren, Sherry Baldwin (Pete), Shannon Voorhies (Cory), Mia Buracker (Brad), Samantha, Tiffany, Joey and Darren Woodward; and her grandson Ray Clatterbuck (Patricia). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
