He is survived by: his caregiver Joan Ray Smith; his children, Yvonne Hope Fisher, Kimberly Dawn Smith Pittman, Erica Faith Smith Wright, Benjamin Franklin Smith III and Morgan Hunter Smith; his stepdaughters, Jessica Leigh Hensler and Jamie Lynn Foushee; his siblings, Linda Seale, Frances Smith, Granville Smith and Timothy Smith; and his grandchildren, Kayla Webster, Kyle Fisher, Zachary Smith, Aaron Dodson, Micah Ugarte, Dylan Hensler and Elisha Oberndorf.
