With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shelby Williams Bryant Ponton of Cullen, Virginia, born in Pamplin, Virginia, who passed away on March 22, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Estes Ponton; her parents, Bettie Ferguson Williams and Dannie Berle Williams; and her grandson Matthew Peery. She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Richardson (David) of Pamplin, Wanda Beagle (Wayne) of Farmville, Bonnie Sorrells of Forest and Lisa Womack (Jerry) of Lynchburg. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
