It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jannette Lavinder Carson (Cullen, Virginia), who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dottsie Mae Lavinder and Edwin H. Lavinder; and her husband Larry Carson. She is survived by: her sisters, Gracie Gray of Avon, NC and Nancy Turner of Bassett, VA; her children, Richard Carson, Leonard Carson and Dianna Connoly; and her grandchildren, Heather Carson, Leanne Stamper, Kyle Stone, Molly Carson and Grace Carson. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Madisonville Presbyterian Church, Madisonville, VA, or simply pass on a kindness received by you.

“Dianna and I send our deepest condolences to her brothers upon learning of the passing of your mother. Dianna deeply loved her mom. Her favorite memories were laying on her lap watching the rain and sleeping next to her when her dad worked nights. For me, Jeannette taught me about so many things, especially plants. I loved listening to her and Dianna playing piano together. I have missed her the last couple years and I know Dianna did as well.”
