He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frances Shuford Tharpe and Luther Edd Tharpe; his wife Brenda Elder Tharpe; his nephew Jonathan Scot Jarman; his children, Marc Tharpe of Cullen, Susan Hudson (Ned) of Lynchburg and Holly Perrow (Turner) of Galt's Mill, VA; his sister Brenda Jarman (Bob) of Cullen, VA; his grandchildren, Coty Clarke (Allen), Holly Hudson, Ned Hudson, Ella Epps Perrow, Caroline Perrow and Tripp Perrow; his great grandchild Blayne Clarke; and his close friends, Angel Cunningham and Ashanta Henry. He was also cherished by his family, friends and grandchildren.
