It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodney Randolph Hester of Crozet, Virginia, born in Marion, Virginia, who passed away on August 17, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Hester (Frankie); his great grandchild Everly Margaret Rose; and his sons-in-law, Gary Conley and Harold Peterson. He is survived by: his children, Coach, Little Gnome, Annette Conley Peterson (Nettie), Steve Hester (Robin) and Angie Hester Richey (Ed); his grandchildren, Heather Conley, Tyler Hester (Allison), Travis Hester, Michaela Richey, Dante Crawford (Mary) and Tabitha Shifflett (Montie); his great grandchildren, Levi Payne, Quinton Hester, Griffin Hester, Danielle Shifflett and Kelsey Shifflett; his great great grandchildren, Walker and Tinsleigh; his siblings, Peggy Johnson Clayton and Ray Hester; and his brother-in-law Everett Brown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
