He was predeceased by: his brothers, Thomas and Richard. He is survived by: his parents, Christopher Nicholas and Ann Winifred Bennett Bartel; and his children, Christa (Randy), William Bennett, Carlton Garrett and Anna Kay.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C.
