He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Meadows and Lottie L. Meadows; and his brother Timothy Thurston. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Meadows; his daughters, Alma Meadows (Lynn Gentry) of Waynesboro and Claudia McNeil (Coty McNeil) of Crozet; his brothers, Norman Dudley of Maryland and Lee Meadows of Greene County; his grandchildren, Christopher Meadows, Casey Meadows, Haley Meadows and Cameron McNeil; his sister Joyce; and his brother-in-law Donnie Dalton.
