It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Davis Layne Sr. (Crozet, Virginia), born in Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on March 29, 2019, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother-in-law Roger Baber Sr; his nephew Charles "Bubba" Baber; his great-niece Elizabeth Baber; his wife Betty A. Layne; his sons, Donald "Davy" Layne Jr (Dana), Rodney Layne (Alissa) and Gregory Layne (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Willie Layne (Meagan), Michael Layne, Chris Layne, Brooke Layne, Brandon Layne (Morgan), Gill Tinder and Tyler Tinder; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Noah and Kyler; his cousin Melissa Pritchett; and his friends, Tom Oakley and Francisco.
