She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wood Sandridge and Jennie Via Sandridge; her husband Early Kent Jr.; her siblings, Cecil Sandridge, Virginia Sandridge and Frances James (Aubrey); her niece Barbara Ann; her stepmother Katie Via Sandridge; and her stepsisters, Thelma and Alma.

She is survived by: her sons, Charles Early Kent (Beth Blanton) of Palmyra, Virginia and Larry Kent (Judy) of Afton, Virginia.; her granddaughter Lisa Rochefort (Brian) of Midland; her great grandchildren, Sterling, Marshall, Wyatt and Kyle; her granddaughter Elizabeth Kent of Tampa, Florida.; her nephew Aubrey James Jr. (Shirley); her great-nephew Steve of Virginia Beach; her niece Paula Martin (Bob); her nephews, Steve Hutchinson (Kathy), Wes Kent (Cindy) and Ron Kent (Claire); and her sisters-in-law, Stella Kent Hutchinson and Janice Sandridge Kent. She is also survived by cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont or to Crozet United Methodist Church.
