It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Johnson Brinkley of Crockett, Virginia, who passed away on December 14, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Brinkley and Mabel R Brinkley; his wife Wanda; his siblings, Tommy Brinkley, Ginger Cassell and Patsy Brinkley; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Schuster and Lojean Moore; and his nephew David Brinkley.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Cox; his brother Joe Dick Brinkley (Carmen); his great grandchildren, Warren, Tanner, Sylar Robinson and Connor Cox; his brother-in-law John Moore; his nephews, Tony Moore (Kimberly) and Joey Brinkley (Rita); his niece Lucy Blackburn (Carlton); and his caregiver Dorothy Fariss.
