It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derrick Bryan Roop of Critz, Virginia, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, who passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Johnson Roop and Dana Evelyn Gilley Roop; and his brother Lynn Roop. He is survived by: his wife Joan Williams Roop; his children, Kenneth Roop of Stuart, Virginia and Dana Roop Harris (Michael) of Critz, Virginia; his grandchildren, Faith Roop Ruscelloni (Christian) of Stuart, Joshuwa Roop of Stuart, Kristen Harris of Critz and Makayleigh Harris of Critz, Virginia; his great grandchild Joana Rose Ruscelloni; and his sister Linda Roop Handy (Hassel) of Critz, Virginia.
