He is survived by: his wife Suellen; his sister-in-law Vernell Crissman; his children, Paula Coleman (Tony), Irving Crissman (Sheri), Robert Crissman (Reta), Pamela Marshall (Ricky) and Penni Walker (Kelly); his grandchildren, Paul Acker III (Tonya), Scott Acker, Nicholas Crissman (Heather), Zachary Crissman (Carlee), Christopher Crissman (Amber), Benjamin Crissman, Adam Marshall (Michael), Chad Marshall (Sarah), Collin Marshall, Spencer Marshall, Chad Truslow (Stacy), Jacob Walker and Lennon Rourke (Logan); and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Camden, Tristan, Penelope, Hunter, Calla, Horizon, Brayden, Colton, Pyper, Jordan, Blake, Ryan, Melissa, Alex, Mason and Declan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as kids of friends and neighbors.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McDow Funeral Home (1701 W Main St, Waynesboro, VA 22980). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Augusta Memorial Park (1775 Old Goose Crk Rd, Waynesboro, VA 22980). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren (36 Crimora Mine Rd, Crimora, VA 24431).
