He was predeceased by: his parents, Ory Daniel and Pearlie Keplinger Smith; and his sisters, Shirley Lorraine Hupp and Kay Joyce Kimble. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Shadwell; his children, Larry Smith of Criders and Kaylette Carter of Criders; his grandchildren, Ory Daniel Smith, Patrick Wayne Smith, Jessica Carter and Rachel Carter; and his great grandchildren, Skyler Smith, Sequoia Moore and Jalyn Carter-Williams.
