He was predeceased by: his parents, Mahlon, Sr. Watson and Lucille Watson; his grandparents, Lewis, Grace Watson, Morris and Lizzie Oliver; his siblings-in-law, Franklin Merritt, Sr., Hubbard Stewart, Rayzelle Watson and Christine Watson; and his niece Bernell Copes.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mahlon Watson, Jr. of Crewe, VA, Robert Watson of Blackstone, VA, Carolyn Stewart of Fort Washington, MD, Dorothy Merritt of Fort Washington, MD and Bernice Vaughan (Kenneth) of Alexandria, VA; his aunt Virginia Oliver (Kit) of Hempstead, NY; his nieces and nephews, Delores Baskin (Willie), Keith Vaughan, Angela Wynes (Todd, Sr.), Kim Stewart, Kisha Watson, Denise Galloway (Jonathan) and Franklin Merritt, Jr.; his cousin Lucille Oliver; and his close friends, Patricia Wood, Diane Littlejohn, Toni Turner, Connie Barr, Roberta Staples and Valarie Carter. He is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and lifetime friends.
