He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon L. Gibson and Betty M. Skinner; and his former wife Sabrina P. Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Cindy B. Gibson; his children, Vernon "Cody" Gibson (Carole Ann) and Amber L. Gibson; his stepchildren, Garland Brock (Ashley) and Elizabeth Trader (David); and his siblings, Penny Lewis (Billy), Jessica G. Draper, Rose Chapman (Randy) and Allen Gibson (Darlene). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
