He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Austin and Christine Austin; his brother Ronald E. Austin; and his brother-in-law John H. Penland. He is survived by: his siblings, William E. "Billy" Austin (Beverly), Connie Penland of Hampton, VA and Barbara Bruner (John) of Vinton, VA; his sister-in-law Marlene Austin of Glen Allen, VA; and his cousin Jimmy Austin (Crewe). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Trinity Memorial Gardens (22482 Prince Edward Hwy, Rice, VA 23966).
