She was predeceased by: her parents, Lizzy Bates and Millard Lee Bates; her husband Gerald Hailey; and her siblings, Doll Scruggs, Bud and Lee Bates.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Duffey (Jimmy) of Keysville, Jerry "Butch" Hailey (Linda) of Crewe and Steve "Buster" Hailey (Lindsey) of Crewe; and her grandchildren, Jason Duffey (Alyssa), Mandy Lawson (Cale), Katie Hailey, Gerald Hailey, Maegen Hailey and Ryan Hailey. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blackstone Chapel of Joseph McMillian Funeral Homes (1826 Cox Rd, Blackstone, VA 23824). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
