She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. "Beans" Shorter and Mae Ashmore Shorter; her brother Charles "Chuck" Shorter; and her husband Leonard Ison. She is survived by: her son Robin (Jason McLure); her stepdaughter Anne Ison; and her grandchildren, Mandy, Taran, Kendal, Ali, Jared and Joseph. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
