He was predeceased by: his grandson Sidney Garland Lewis; his parents, Effie Lewis and Wesley Lewis; and his siblings, Elsie Lewis, Ora Brough, Roscoe and Drexel.

He is survived by: his wife Claudine Lewis; his sons, Jeff Lewis (Lora) of Georgia and Keith Lewis (Jackie) of Crewe; his grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley and Justin Lewis; his great grandchildren, Damien, Alice and Mason Lewis; and his sister Flossie Blevins of Crewe.
