He was predeceased by: his brothers, Glen Stanley (Joan), Roger Stanley and Carroll Stanley (Martha). He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Coates Super and Michelle Manley (Steve); his sisters, Sharon Porterfield (Dale) and Becky Connor (Jimmy); and his caregiver Dixie Martin.
