It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Mason Fortune Sr. (Craigsville, Virginia), who passed away on February 14, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Fortune and Blanche Fortune; his wife Beverly Karshner; his son Brent Fortune; and his parents-in-law, Frank and Ann Karsher.

He is survived by: his children, Mindy Hidde (Todd), Jerry Fortune, Billy Fortune and Brian Fortune (April); his grandchildren, Alicia Tomcheck (Brad), Kristin Hidde, Alexis Rastall (Quinn), Alivia Fortune (Kyle), Mason Fortune, Justice Fortune, Scarlett Fortune, Phoenix Fortune and Alana Fortune; his great grandchildren, Ethan Hidde, Kaylee Hidde, Carter Hidde, Christian Rastall, Presley Rastall and Brooklyn Tomcheck; and also, Peggy Fortune and Jessica Fortune.
