He is survived by: his spouse Julie Potter Lawson; his parent Jenny Andrews Lawson; his children, John Travis Lawson of Covington, Emily Lawson Bennett (Chad) of Knoxville and Kelly Lawson May (Austin) of Virginia Beach; his grandchildren, James Cooper Bennett and Lily Marie May; and his siblings, Randy Lee Lawson, Leslie Allen "Buckethead" Lawson, Thomas Lawson and Lisa Carol Lawson Giebner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
