He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Ray Alfred, Sr. and Beatrice Smith Alfred; and his siblings, Eddie Ray Alfred, Jr., Ralph Garland Alfred, Jerry Wayne Alfred and Betty Jo Alfred Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Derek Thomas Alfred (Skip) of Richmond, Jeffrey Scott Alfred-Sanford (Sullivan) and Michele Suzanne Alfred Kenny (Adam) of Clifton Forge; his grandsons, Tanner Nicholas Kenny and Graham Thomas Kenny; and his brothers, Ronald Eugene Alfred (Angela) of West Virginia and C. Wendell Alfred (Mike) of Lewes, DE. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
