He was predeceased by: his wife June Carol Thomas Lewis; and his parents, Thomas Lewis and Alice Marshall Lewis. He is survived by: his daughter Holli Lewis of Staunton, VA; his grandson Stephen Gage Hoffman; and his great grandchildren, Espen Kai Beverage and Paisley June Hoffman. He is also survived by two nieces; and one nephew.
