He was predeceased by: his wife Alene Fortune Baker; his parents, William Bruffy Baker and Audrey Bostic Baker; his stepdaughter Christy Long Gibson; and his siblings, William Hershel Baker, Omri Lee "Bo" Baker, James Robert "Bobby" Baker, Norene Baker Humphries, Louise Baker Shephard and Mary Baker "Tootsie" Bennett.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Terry Kinsey (Anne) of Covington, Ronnie Kinsey (Christie) of Covington, Mageara Cameron Spell (David) of California, Travis Long of California and Chris Long of Williamsburg; his stepson Frank Long of Montana; his close friend Anne Reid; and his brother Harold Baker of Fallston, MD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
