He is survived by: his spouse Julie Potter Lawson; his parent Jenny Andrews Lawson; his children, John Travis Lawson of Covington, Emily Lawson Bennett of Knoxville and Kelly Lawson May of Virginia Beach; his grandchildren, James Cooper Bennett and Lilly Marie May; and his siblings, Randy Lee Lawson, Leslie Allen "Buckethead" Lawson, Thomas Lawson and Lisa Carol Lawson Gibner. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
