With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Ann of Covington, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Mary left this world on February 18, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Mary departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mary. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Mark Tucker and Virginia Wright Tucker Bowen; her husband Luther Bowen; and her sister Zetta Martin. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Simmons (Carl) of Covington, Charlotte Ann Hepler (Lonnie) of Covington and Phillip Wayne May (Tina) of Covington; and her brothers, James Tucker of Covington, Harry Lewis Tucker (Deb) of Covington and Ellis Tucker of Covington. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several step-children and step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM and at 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 4:00 PM.
