He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lacy Bailey and Nora Persinger Bailey; his son Ernest Parker Bailey, Jr. (Buddy); and his siblings, Nadine Tucker, Doc Bailey, Alice Depriest, Alfred, Arnold, Robert, Janice Bailey and Jenny Kit.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Candice Howard (Robert), Rocky Hicks II, Alisha Brookman, Brittany and Austin Bailey; his great grandchildren, Kimberly Graham (Brent), Amber Howard, Sara Howard, Bryce "Billy Goat" O'Conner, Trey Hicks, Savanna Hicks, Emilee Bush, Wyatt Bailey and Amelia Bailey; his great great grandchildren, Aceton, Gannon and Koalson Graham; and his siblings, Jim Bailey, Eldis Gilbert, Mary Austin and Sue Menefee (Nathan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations may be made to the Boiling Spring Fire Department and Rescue Squad, 5407 Potts Creek Road, Covington, VA 24426.
