He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Hilston Burkholder and Edna Darlene Burkholder (Phillips); and his siblings, Donald "Donnie" Burkholder, Samuel "Sammy" Burkholder, Danny Luke Burkholder, Sr. and Janet Burkholder Folks.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Dabreyl "Bre" Burkholder Armentrout and Daryn Wayne Burkholder (Sara); his grandson Henry Ryan Burkholder; his brother Trent Burkholder (Beth); his sister-in-law Debbie Burkholder; his uncle Carlos Phillips; and his aunt Eula Tate. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews as well as many, many friends.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the J.B. Broughman Memorial Scholarship Fund, Jeter-Watson Elementary School, 560 W. Indian Valley Road, Covington, VA 24426.
