We are sad to announce that on February 14, 2024, at the age of 77, Danny Hart Vess of Covington, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Elizabeth Stone Vess; and his parents, Enos "Buck" Vess and Florence Hart Vess. He is survived by: his daughters, Allison Vass (William) and Amy Vess Melvin (Randy Lee); his grandchildren, Katie-Lee Melvin (Nicholas Davis), Bethany Vass, Evelyn Melvin and Nathaniel Melvin; and his great grandchildren, Silas Hart Davis, Oliver Davis and Suzanne Davis.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church, 425 W. Main Street, Covington, VA 24426.
