She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood Whitsel Downes and Lena Margaret Arritt Downes; and her sister Delberta Haynes. She is survived by: her son Patrick Morgan (Ginny) of Daleville; her sister Ruth Via of Covington; her grandchildren, Riley Morgan and Mason Morgan; her nieces and nephews, Mitchell Haynes, Shannon Haynes, Tabatha Lewis, Brandy Snead, Gary Goode and Creigh Via; and her friend Pat Tacy.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (113 N Wills Ave, Covington, VA 24426).
