He is survived by: his wife Harriet Joyner; his children, Roy Joyner, Jr. of North Chesterfield, Virginia, Donnell Joyner of North Chesterfield, Virginia, Leonte Joyner of North Chesterfield, Virginia, Antwain Jackson of North Chesterfield, Virginia, Tanesha Jackson (Norman) of North Chesterfield and Kimberly Dozier of Hampton, Georgia; his siblings, Cynthia Ingram of Manson, Yvette Lewis of Richmond, Virginia, Aaron Gilchrist (Rita) of Richmond, Elton Joyner (Iris) of North Chesterfield, Alpha Joyner (Lorie) of South Chesterfield and Kimbel Joyner (Godenia) of Charlotte; his aunts, Maude Joyner of Southampton and Irene Joyner of Kingtree; and his uncle Lythe Newsome. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other friends.
