She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Burse Ellis and Sarah Elizabeth Ellis; her husband Jesse Lineberry Grissom; her sister Bernice E. Fisher; and her grandson Jeremy Lee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dale Hardin (Bill) of Raleigh, NC and Janice Burgess (Scooter) of Richmond; her grandchildren, Angie B. Post (Jake) and Adam Burgess (Lindsey); her granddaughter-in-law Elizabeth Madison; her stepgranddaughters, Keri Cleveland and Jennifer Herndon; and her great grandchildren, Ryder Post, Emmett Post, Nora Post, William Burgess, Andrew Burgess, Gracen Madison, Dylan Minnich (Emma), Kailey Harper Sean Cleveland (Avery), Zach Cleveland, Luke Herndon and Levi Herndon.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to Courtland Baptist Church or St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
