With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lewis Holmes Davis Sr. of Courtland, Virginia, who passed away on June 11, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma "Jack" Hundley and Lewis Davis of Washington; and his wife Leona Williams Davis. He is survived by: his sons, Lewis Holmes Davis, Jr. and Benjamin Arthur Davis (Tricia); his grandchildren, Grayson Lewis Davis, Olivia Ann Davis, Katherine Patricia Davis and Benjamin Holmes Davis; his great grandchild Shelby Mae Davis; his sisters-in-law, Erma Williams Joyner, Flora Ann F. Williams, Zeannette R. "Topsy" Williams and Edna H. Hodges; and his daughter-in-law Betty Gray Davis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 15, 2020 from 7-8 PM at Wright Funeral Home in Franklin and suggests memorial donations be made to Courtland United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
