It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Mae W Davis (Courtland, Virginia), born in Capron, Virginia, who passed away on April 22, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Fannie Mae Joyner; and her siblings, Daphne Williams Vaughan Dunn, Arthur Clifton Williams, Sidney Thomas Williams and Gene Wesley Williams, Sr..
She is survived by: her parent Arthur Grover Williams; her husband Lewis Holmes Davis, Sr; her sons, Lewis Holmes Davis, Jr. and Benjamin Arthur Davis (Tricia); her siblings, Erma Williams Joyner and David C. Williams (Flora Ann); her grandchildren, Grayson Lewis Davis (Ashley), Olivia Ann Davis (David), Katherine Patricia Davis and Benjamin Holmes Davis; her great grandchild Shelby Mae Davis; her sister-in-law Zeannette R. "Topsy" Williams; and her daughter-in-law Betty Gray Davis.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 7pm to 8pm in Wright Funeral Home and suggests memorial donations be made to Courtland United Methodist Church for the purchase of stained glass windows.
