It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leah Jane Johnson of Courtland, Virginia, born in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Larue DeWald and Bertha Cook DeWald; her son Robert Michael Johnson; and her brothers, Glenn and David DeWald.
She is survived by: her grandson Kevin Larue Byrwa Jr.; her husband Edward Kerry Johnson; her children, Kevin Larue Byrwa (Tanya) of Norfolk, VA, Kimberly Marie Williams (Frank) of Columbia, MD, Elizabeth Kerrianne Johnson (Jared) of Franklin, VA, Kristina Maria Thacker of Hampton, VA and Tammy Pendleton (Art) of Niagara Falls, NY; and her siblings, Sharon Mastellar of Bloomsburg, PA, Sallie Sterling of Mississippi, Larry DeWald of Oak Harbor, WA and Irving DeWald. She is also survived by twenty one grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
