He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Sewell and Sallie Sewell; and his brother John Sewell. He is survived by: his wife Carol Sewell; his children, Sharon (Rusty Carter), Virginia (Deborah), Doug (Donna Sewell) and David Austring of Newmarket, Ontario.; his grandchildren, Lindsay Wallbillich (Connor), Jill Carter (Taylor Scott), Luke Sewell, Carolanne Austring and Rebekah Austring; and his brother Vernon Sewell, Jr..
