She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Fred Carter, Jr. and Sara Carr Carter; her brother Thomas F. Carter, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Michele Carter. She is survived by : her husband John Woodson Griggs, Jr.; her son Evan Woodson Griggs; her siblings, Dana C. Rountree (Billy), Karen C. Dunn (Jim Peele) and Brett S. Carter, Sr.; and her sister-in-law Betty Moore.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM Sunday in Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
