It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John P Pittman (Courtland, Virginia), born in Capron, Virginia, who passed away on October 30, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Marks Pittman and Virginius Sebrell Pittman; and his brothers, Virginius S. Pittman, Jr. of Franklin and Robert E. Pittman of Snellville, GA.. He is survived by: his wife Ina Ridley Pittman; his children, Virginius Sebrell "Vee" Pittman II (Anne) of Courtland and Margaret Pittman Green (Ward) of Roswell, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Jordan Ridley Green, Sumner Willingham Green, Edward Jackson Green III, John Powell Pittman II and James Scott Hotchkiss Pittman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Emmanuel Episcopal Church or the VMI Foundation.
