He was predeceased by : his parents, Charlie Lynnwood Woolard, Sr. and Lydia Seawood Woolard; his former life partner Shirley Mae Jackson; and his siblings, Garfield Woolard, Gary Woolard and Peggy Black.
He is survived by : his wife Ruth Ann Johnson; his sons, Hugh G. Woolard, Jr. (Patti) of Wytheville, VA, Jimmy Woolard, Sr. (Trina) of Courtland, VA and Paul E. Woolard (Marcie) of Portsmouth, VA; and his stepchildren, Steven Subotnik (Jennifer) of Charlottesville, VA, Richard Subotnik (Dana) of Ohio, Robert Subotnik (Susan) of Greensboro and Sarah Nash of Portsmouth, VA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and fourteen step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Kempsville Christian Church, 5424 Parliament Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
