She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Jackson Newton and Adeline Maitland Newton; her husband Anselum Timothy "Tiny" Savedge, Jr.; her children, Sandra Savedge and John Michael Savedge; and her siblings, Howard Newton, Lawrence Newton, Leonard Newton, Shelton Newton, Sr., Willie Bernard Newton, Geraldine Newton Britt and Pattie Newton Barrett.

She is survived by: her sons, A. T. "Bo" Savedge, III (Lou) and Aetius James Savedge (Teresa); and her grandchildren, Jamie Tharpe, Mia Savedge, Skye Savedge and Angela Savedge. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
